Good luck and safe travels to all of the cadets headed to Tri-Wing Encampment today.

Encampment is a critical piece of the cadet experience and we know you will all learn a lot.

Congrats to all the Challenger 1 members who braved the heat and came out to to the NASA Goddard Apollo Moon Landing 50th Anniversary Model Rocket Launch organized by the National Association of Rocketry Narhams section.

The goal? Land your rocket as close to the flag on the "moon" as possible. While some didn't quite make it (Squadron Commander ended up in the fence), C/Amn Bestic won the day by landing 2.15 meters from the flag and winning first place in the Adult Division. Not only did he get a trophy but also a commemorative coin and Estes 1:100 scale Saturn V model rocket kit.

Well done all! Another check mark on the way to that Model Rocketry Badge.

Congratulations to everyone that participated in today’s flight. Massive congratulations are in order to Challenger 1’s own C/Amn Bestic on placing 1st in the adult category and being the closest to target overall at 2.15m. Fantastic job!!!!
