Aspiring Astronomers: Check out the night sky this week and see Mars aglow. Read more about celestial sightings in our area in the Washington Post Skywatch column in the link below.

Use your knowledge from our recent AE Astronomy lesson. Test your skills at identifying planets, stars and constellations. Use the Sky View app for help.

You can make great observations with the naked eye but if you have one of our squadron telescopes, your viewing will be even better. Share your photos with us.

AE Weather Alert! Join us tonight at Challenger 1’s squadron meeting for everything you ever wanted to know about the air environment, including a historical view of weather forecasting back to ancient times. Our meeting will begin with safety tips for summer weather hazards. We’ll then have expert instruction from two of our Aerospace Educators who are Air Force trained meteorologists. We’ll conduct experiments about air properties and conclude with observation activities of this evening’s sky. Bring your smart phones with SkyView App for celestial understanding at your fingertips. CAP Aerospace Dimensions Module 3 will be used as reference.
