Cadet Orientation Flights

JeffersonEver wonder what it is like to fly?

The United States Air Force Auxiliary – Civil Air Patrol offers a cadet orientation flight program that enables our cadets to experience the thrill of flying.  Every cadet, 18 and under is eligible for five front seat flights in a USAF/AUX-CAP powered aircraft (single-engine fixed wing aircraft), five flights in a glider aircraft, and an unlimited number of backseat flights as flight conditions permit.

The National Capital Wing (our higher headquarters) has a fleet of Cessna 172 and 182 aircraft assigned with multiple flight crews available at any given time, many of which are certified flight instructors with an impeccable flight safety record.

Cadets should see the Commander or Deputy Commander to schedule their orientation flights.
